Looking for some accountability? Community? Maybe a gentle weekly push to move along that project you’re at work on, or meant to get back to, or want to get started on? This Literary Arts class might be just the thing.
Each week, we’ll share how our writing practice is going, what’s working, needs adjusting, and what’s on the horizon for the following week. We’ll discuss strategies to keep going, share ideas for the long run of a creative practice, and meet other likeminded writers.
Virtual class, so wherever you are literally and/or figuratively you can join us.
THURSDAYS
9/19 to 11/7
12:00 pm- 2:00 pm Pacific
More information can be found here at the Literary Arts website.
I hope you can make it.
This 8-week class is focused on holding yourself and your classmates accountable to your writing goals. Each Wednesday, plan to share your work-in-progress with the group, set or revise goals for your weekly writing practice, and share successes and challenges with fellow writers. You’ll also learn strategies for keeping focused and staying on track. Occasional outside readings for discussion. This is not a workshop or feedback-based class. Worked shared will be about listening to each other’s voices and having a consistent deadline to meet on a weekly basis. All genres welcome.
Literary Arts wants their writing classes and Delves to be accessible to everyone, regardless of income and background. They understand that their tuition structure can present obstacles for some people. The Access Program offers writing class and Delve tuitions at a reduced rate. The access program for writing classes covers 60% of the class tuition. Most writing classes have at least one access spot available.
Please apply here for access rate tuition. Contact Susan Moore at susan@literary-arts.org if you have questions.
